Remise des insignes d’officier des Palmes Académiques
The Ambassador of France in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Bertrand Besancenot presented on February 21, 2010 to Dr. Mohamed Ben Laden, who is a renowned Saudi lawyer, the Academic Palms in the rank of an Officer.
The Academic Palms was awarded during a special Dinner Party hosted by H. E. the Ambassador in presence of a number of Saudi princes, eminent foreign personalities as well as Dr. Ben Laden’s family members, relatives and friends.
The Academic Palms have been created by a Decree of the Emperor/ Napoleon Bonaparte issued on March 17, 1808. The Govt. of France rewards since that date to the eminent personalities in the world who contribute effectively in different cultural and economic aspects and in improving the intellectual, scientific and artistic heritage of France.
Dr. Ben Laden contributed a lot to develop the bilateral relationship between France and Saudi Arabia. He conducted a number of seminars in France concerning the revolutionary changes introduced in the Saudi judicial system under the auspicious leadership of the King Abdullah. He also devoted himself in the different activities being a member of the Saudi-French Business Council.
Dr. Mohammed Ben Laden is a Saudi lawyer who practices law in Riyadh through his own Law Firm. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London and a member of the London Court for International Arbitration (LCIA), and he is an accredited Arbitrator/Expert at the Gulf Center for Commercial Arbitration in Bahrain. He also enrolled as an Arbitrator in the Ministry of Justice in Saudi Arabia. He holds academic certificates from the Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies in Paris.
قلد سعادة سفير فرنسا بالرياض السفير برتران بيزانسينو يوم أمس الأحد الموافق، 21 فبراير 2010م الدكتور المحامي محمد علي بن لادن وسام السعفة الأكاديمية برتبة ضابط ،وذلك على هامش حفل العشاء الذي أقامه سعادة السفير بهذه المناسبة في حضور عدد من الأمراء والمستشارين من أصدقاء الدكتور بن لادن وكذلك عدد من أعضاء مجلس الأعمال السعودي الفرنسي وحضو الأهل والأقارب. ومما يجدر ذكره أن وسام الأكاديمية أنشئ بموجب مرسوم صادر عن الامبراطور نابليون بونابرت في 17 مارس 1808م. وتمنح الحكومة الفرنسية تلك الأوسمة منذ ذلك التاريخ للشخصيات البارزة التي تسهم بشكل فعال في شتى المجالات الثقافية والاقتصادية وفي التطور الفكري والعلمي للتراث والثقافة الفرنسيين في العالم. وقد ساهم الدكتور محمد بن لادن في شتى المجلات التي تهدف الى تطوير العلاقات الثنائية بين فرنسا والمملكة العربية السعودية.فقد قام بالقاء العديد من المحاضرات في فرنسا حول التغييرات النوعية الكبرى في النظام القضائي السعودي برعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز حفظه الله ورعاه .كما ساهم في العديد من الأنشطة بحكم عضويته في مجلس الأعمال السعودي الفرنسي. والدكتور محمد بن لادن محام ممارس للمهنة من خلال مكتبه في مدينة الرياض، وهو عضو في المعهد الملكي للمحكمين في لندن كما أنه عضو في محكمة لندن للتحكيم
